Reframing HER

Reframing HER is a campaign by the Narrative Realignment Initiative working to challenge how women’s rights and gender equality are framed in the UK media and political debate. The project exposes the stereotypes and narratives that distort public understanding of women’s issues - from workplace inequality to gender-based violence — and campaigns for more accurate, empowering representation.

Through coordinated advocacy, Reframing HER works with student groups, equality organisations, and journalists to shift both narrative and policy. Our work includes public petitions and awareness drives, lobbying for fair media standards, hosting narrative-change workshops, and producing evidence-based resources for campaigners and educators.

By combining research, activism, and direct engagement, Reframing HER seeks to transform how women’s stories are told - moving beyond tokenism to achieve genuine equality in how power, progress, and identity are represented.
