Who we are
The Narrative Realignment Initiative (NRI) is a student-led collective of writers, researchers, and campaigners working to challenge how mainstream media shapes public understanding. Founded by students who saw the need for critical and independent storytelling, we explore how narratives influence perception, policy, and power - and how they can be redefined for the public good.
We combine academic insight with activism, producing commentary and campaigns that confront bias and amplify underrepresented perspectives. Through collaborations with journalists, charities, and grassroots movements, we aim to build a media culture grounded in truth, fairness, and empathy.
Our work isn’t just about critique - it’s about reconstruction: equipping people to question the stories they’re told and empowering them to create new ones that reflect lived experience and collective responsibility.
